IBA Virtually Together Conference 2020

Online

18th November 2020

This year the IBA is running it’s annual weekly conference as Virtually Together Conference spanning a whole month. More than 250 sessions have been included in the programme, which will start with an Opening Address and culminate in the Rule of Law Symposium. The live sessions have been scheduled to suit all time zones to give maximum opportunity to our members across the globe to participate.

A vital part of the IBA 2020 – Virtually Together Conference is that the sessions will be linked with creative professional and social networking opportunities, taking place throughout the Conference enabling delegates to greet old friends and make new contacts in the virtual world. Keating Chambers are pleased to be involved in the following sessions:

  • Krista Lee QC is on a panel to discuss the impact of insolvency on a construction project on 16 November. The session is chaired by Roberta Downey and Samuel Moss and will consider the impact of insolvency and explore any warning signs and mitigations which parties may consider to protect their positions. Further details here.
  • Lucy Garrett QC is on the panel for the IBA’s Global Influencer session on 18 November, to discuss how owners and contractors are managing risk and developing strategies for success during this unprecedented time. Beginning with an overview of global trends and threats to infrastructure projects, they will move onto discuss contracts, force majeure claims, consequences and terminations. Register here.
