New Members: Brenna Conroy and Charlie Thompson

Date: 4 May 2017

Members of Keating Chambers are delighted to announce the arrival of Brenna Conroy and Charlie Thompson, who both join from Hardwicke Chambers.

Brenna specialises in construction, professional negligence and property damage work and is regularly instructed in complex, high value disputes in the TCC and in domestic and international arbitration. The quality of her construction practice has resulted in her recent appointment to the Attorney General’s C Panel of Counsel. Brenna is recommended in Chambers and Partners as an “Up-and-coming junior” with “exceptional case management work”, who is “good with clients and very easy to work with”. Brenna comments “I am excited to be joining such a well established and respected set in my areas of practice.”

Charlie is a construction and insurance specialist with a domestic and international practice. His recent caseload has seen him instructed by the Government Legal Department in three high value arbitrations in relation to a long running dispute over the refurbishment and rebuilding of a government military base and the construction of a berthing facility. He is also working as a junior in high value CAR claims arising out of sand ingress damage in wind turbines in Saudi Arabia.  Charlie says “Keating Chambers has an outstanding reputation both in the UK and internationally and I am looking forward to developing my practice here.”

Marcus Taverner, Head of Keating Chambers, says: “We are delighted to welcome Brenna and Charlie to Keating, both of whom have fantastic reputations and are sure to be an asset to Chambers.” Declan Redmond, Chief Executive and Director of Clerking adds: “The calibre of Brenna and Charlie’s work within Keating’s key practice areas, and the high quality of service they provide clients, make them an excellent fit for Chambers.”
