International Arbitration: Most In Demand Arbitrators in Asia-Pacific Region

This section features John Marrin QC and Robert Gaitskell QC. John is lauded as “a very clever silk who pays huge attention to detail and is really on top of things” and is noted for his experience in matters arising in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Philippines. Robert is praised as “one of the premier construction arbitrators in the world” who continues to build on an already noted profile on the Asian arbitration scene. This section features Philip Boulding QC, Simon Hughes QC and Adam Constable QC. Philip, who is “really at the top of his game”, is based in Hong Kong and the Guide also notes his strong presence in Macau, Singapore, the Philippines, and increasingly in Australia. Simon, noted principally for his experience in matters concerning major energy or resources-related projects, many of which are located in the Asia-Pacific region, is recommended as being “incredibly hard-working, very responsive and understands the commercial issues in a case”.
