Africa Construction Law (ACL) Conference “Construction Law in Africa: Navigating Turbulent Times”

Abdul Jinadu will speak at the annual Africa Construction Law (ACL) Conference “Construction Law in Africa: Navigating Turbulent Times”, taking place on 5 and 6 June 2023.

Abdul will moderate “Session 3: Understanding and applying the FIDIC contracts in Africa: benefits, challenges, and adaptations” on Day 1, where he will be joined by a line-up of prominent specialist speakers. The conference will also present networking opportunities with stakeholders from across the continent with sponsors exhibition stands permitting direct engagement with delegates.

Abdul is a practising barrister and arbitrator, who specialises in construction, engineering and energy disputes and arbitration. He has an extensive international practice, acting recently as counsel in several jurisdictions in the Middle East and as sole or party appointed arbitrator in respect of projects including in Nigeria, Tanzania, Ghana and Turkmenistan. Abdul is bi-lingual (English and Yoruba) and maintains significant contacts with his home country, Nigeria, including in the legal, construction and oil and gas sectors.
