Keating Chambers welcomes Ratan K. Singh as International Member

We are delighted to welcome Ratan K. Singh as an International Member of Keating Chambers with effect from 1 January 2022.

Ratan joined the Indian Bar in 1996 and is a designated Senior Advocate. He practices primarily out of New Delhi and has a heavyweight practice, in India and internationally, representing clients in complex and high value construction, engineering, infrastructure, energy, mining, general commercial and civil disputes. As counsel, his advocacy experience includes a number of reported cases of the Supreme Court and various High Courts. He has substantial expertise in a variety of sectors including mining, power plants, steel plants, highways, buildings, hotels, power transmission and joint ventures.

Ratan has also developed a practice as a leading arbitrator and has received numerous appointments as presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator. His broad experience extends to arbitrations governed by arbitral institutions in India, Japan, Singapore, France and England.

In addition to his achievements in practice, Ratan has committed himself to promoting the practice of construction law and arbitration in India. To that end, Ratan is a highly regarded member of the Indian legal community serving as both Founder and Chairman of the India branch of Society of Construction Law and Director of the India branch of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Ratan has five international Fellowships including that of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and UK and International Academys of Construction Lawyers. He also has several publications to his name including a Chapter on “Construction Arbitration: Peculiarities in Principle and Practice” in Specialized Arbitration, Emerging International Trends and Practices (Thomson Reuters).
