Silk Appointment: Calum Lamont
Date: 21 December 2021
We are delighted to announce that Calum Lamont has been successful in his application for silk.
Calum commands a broad commercial practice specialising in construction, engineering, shipbuilding and energy disputes, with particular expertise in infrastructure and offshore matters. He regularly appears in both the TCC and Commercial Court and has a thriving international arbitration practice, particularly in Korea, Hong Kong and the Gulf where his work includes appearing in the DIFC Court, before which he holds full rights of audience.
Calum’s reputation in the marketplace is that of a tenacious, committed and commercially-minded barrister. As a junior he has been consistently nominated for industry awards in construction and international arbitration, winning Chambers Bar awards in these fields in 2015 and 2018 respectively. He is described in the directories as “unparalleled at the Bar” and receives praise for his “intellect, ability to find solutions to seemingly impossible problems and work-rate”.
His appointment will take effect following a ceremony in the New Year. On behalf of everyone at Keating Chambers we send him our wholehearted congratulations.
