Silk Appointments: Jonathan Selby QC and Lucy Garrett QC

Keating Chambers is delighted to announce that Jonathan Selby QC and Lucy Garrett QC have been appointed Queen’s Counsel in a ceremony today at Westminster Hall.

Jonathan specialises in construction and engineering, energy and professional negligence claims (for architects, engineers and surveyors) and has been in practice for 17 years. In that time, he has built up a substantial following of loyal clients, as well as a string of notable victories. He is recommended in the legal directories for construction, where he is described as “a real fighter who puts his heart into things and gets results”.

Lucy has an impressive specialist practice in construction, energy and shipbuilding (both in the UK and internationally). Her practice includes claims for and against construction professionals in these sectors and project-related issues such as insurance, bonds and guarantees. She is “a force of nature” who is very popular with clients and is always in demand for her forceful advocacy, practical and commercial approach and “stellar intellectual ability”.
