Nature of case:
Whether the employer could commence an adjudication following notice of termination by the contractors who were in administration. The employer had withheld sums payable and the contractor had commenced proceedings. It was held that the client could deal with its own claims by defence and counterclaim to the proceedings and no adjudication would be allowed.
