Multiplex Constructions (UK) Ltd v Cleveland Bridge UK Ltd

Nature of case:
The claimant main contractor, Multiplex, largely succeeded in its action against steelwork sub-contractor Cleveland Bridge in the dispute arising from the Wembley Stadium project. The court held that Multiplex had not repudiated the steelwork sub-contract, whereas Cleveland Bridge had repudiated it by abandoning the work.
The Court of Appeal gave permission to appeal from this decision on 20 December 2006.
