Supreme Court Permission – URS Corp Ltd v BDW Trading Ltd

On Monday 11 December 2023, the Supreme Court (Lord Lloyd-Jones, Lord Hamblen and Lady Simler) granted permission to appeal on all grounds in URS Corp Ltd v BDW Trading Ltd [2023] EWCA Civ 772. The time estimate is 3 days, and there will be a panel of 7 Justices – the Court being asked to depart from an earlier decision (Pirelli General Cable Works Limited v Oscar Faber & Partners [1983] 2 AC 1 [HL]).

As of 8 March, the Appeal to the Supreme Court in URS Corp Ltd v BDW Trading Ltd [2024] 2 WLR 181 has now been listed for hearing for four days from 2 to 5 December 2024.
