SCL HK Conference – Defects, Quality and Workmanship

We are pleased to sponsor this year’s SCL Hong Kong International Conference which takes place on Friday 9 November. The theme of this year’s one-day conference is “Defects, Quality and Workmanship – Presenting the Evidence” and speakers will examine typical standard provisions which deal with defective work, quality and workmanship, why such provisions do not always achieve their aims, and how evidence in such cases should be recorded and subsequently presented to a tribunal.

Richard Coplin will be chairing the second session of the day which deals with documentary evidence and reviews issues including use of technology in construction projects, how technology alters the presentation of evidence; keeping of records / evidence in relation to defects and progress, and how to reduce volume of documentary evidence in construction disputes.

Other sessions of the day include “Defects and Workmanship”, “Factual Wotmesses / Evidence”, and “Expert Witnesses / Evidence”.
