10,000 Black Interns Bar Programme (10KBI)

Date: 12 September 2023

Keating Chambers was thrilled to host the Closing Day of the 10,000 Black Interns Bar Programme last week. The day kicked off with an insightful panel discussion and Q&A session featuring prominent barristers who shared their inspiring journeys to pupillage and the Bar. The panellists included:

  • Lorraine Aboagye (Essex Court Chambers);
  • Siobhan Duncan (Temple Tax Chambers);
  • Dr. Natasha Shotunde (Garden Court Chambers); and
  • Mass Ndow-Njie (7BR Chambers).

Following the engaging discussions, the interns joined breakout discussions facilitated by Steering Group members Krista Lee KC (Keating Chambers) and Fallon Alexis (QEB). The groups provided feedback on their internships and exchanged ideas and valuable tips with their peers. The highlight of the day was the graduation ceremony, where the interns received their well-deserved certificates.

A big thank you to Nick Vineall KC, Sam Townend KC and Mariam Diaby from the Bar Council for attending to show their support.
