Alec Chen

Alec Chen joined Keating Chambers as the Legal Assistant in September 2025. Alec works independently to assist barristers with legal research, prepare case summaries and produce regular legal updates.

Before joining Keating, Alec completed his Bachelor of Laws at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), graduating with First Class Honours and recognition on the Dean's List. He was also awarded the Raghav Maliah Goldman Sachs Scholarship, a full scholarship which enabled him to pursue his studies at LSE. Alec has published two articles in peer-reviewed law reviews and received the LSE Law Review 'Prize for Best Blog Post' for his analysis of the New Zealand Supreme Court decision in Smith v Fonterra Co-Operative Group Ltd [2024] NZSC 5. In his spare time, Alec enjoys music, running and cooking.
