9th International Society of Construction Law Conference 2021
We are delighted to be involved in two panel sessions as part of the SCL’s 9th International Conference. The conference is hosted by SCL New Zealand from 3-5 November and can be attended in person or virtually.
Panel 1
Simon Hughes QC and Peter Brogden will be joined by Chris Horsfall and Carla Mills (Corrs Chambers Westgarth) and Wendy MacLaughlin (gb2) to look at challenges faced by contractors on major projects around the world related to time, quality and cost. They will explore the international response to the enforcement of time bars and creative solutions for contractors to avoid their operation.
Panel 2
Johan Beyers will be joining Sean Gibbs (Hanscomb International), Joanna Seetoh (LVM Law Chambers) and John Cock (On Q Consulting) to discuss the future of adjudication. They will examine the past and present forms in different common law jurisdictions including those with well-established adjudication regimes, and those looking to implement statutory Construction Adjudication in the near future.
