Ali was called to the Bar in 2025, having completed the Bar Vocational Studies course at City St Georges, University of London. His studies were generously supported by a Major Scholarship from The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple.
Ali completed his LLB studies at King’s College London, graduating with First Class Honours. During his studies, Ali competed in several mooting competitions on behalf of KCL, succeeding in prestigious competitions such as the ESU-Essex Court Chambers National Mooting Competition and the Inner Temple Magna Carta Moot.
He went on to pursue an LLM in Commercial Law at the University of Cambridge, achieving First Class Honours and receiving various academic awards for his performance, including the Faculty of Law Prize for Corporate Insolvency Law.
Alongside his postgraduate studies, Ali volunteered with the Free Representation Unit, appearing successfully before the Social Security Tribunal. He was also a volunteer researcher with the Cambridge Pro Bono Project, assisting on a report for a leading human rights barrister.
Outside of law, Ali enjoys playing chess and football.
