Nature of case: [Note: This case was not properly reported when decided in 2000. It is now reported because of the guidance on jurisdiction challenges which it offered]. Decides that, while an adjudicator does not have ad hoc jurisdiction to decide his own jurisdiction, his decision that he had jurisdiction to decide this dispute was correct. The dispute concerned a deed executed in December 1998, although a previous letter of intent had taken effect in August 1997; the deed came after May 1998 and so the HGCR Act adjudication provisions applied.
