Nature of case: The reference to adjudication of a dispute as to non-payment of monies allegedly due to a subcontractor conferred jurisdiction to consider any ground that justified non-payment.
Where the contractor had lawfully terminated the subcontractor's employment because of the latter's wrongful suspension of work, an action by the subcontractor for interim sums allegedly due was bound to fail.
