Lord Banner KC will speak at the fifth annual CIWEM Yorkshire and Humber Flooding and Water Quality Conference, held in collaboration with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), in Leeds on Thursday 12 November 2026.
Chaired by Professor Roger Falconer FREng, the conference will bring together professionals from across the planning, flood risk and water sectors to discuss current challenges and future approaches to flood risk management, water quality and climate resilience.
Lord Banner KC will present ‘Flood Risk, Water and the National Planning Policy Framework’, considering recent developments at the intersection of planning, housing delivery and flood risk.
The wider programme will explore practical and policy responses to flooding, water quality and climate change.
