Location: Online

11 November 2026

Veronique Buehrlen KC, Abdul-Lateef Jinadu and international member Ratan K. Singh will each be contributing to the International Construction Claims & ADR Marathon 2026, held as part of Dubai Arbitration Week.

Ratan K. Singh will join an international panel considering whether the success of statutory adjudication in common-law jurisdictions can be replicated across different legal systems, and the challenges involved in adapting the model between jurisdictions.

Session 8 | Currency & Payment Risk in International Construction: Lessons from Africa
Abdul-Lateef Jinadu will contribute to a discussion examining currency and payment risk in international construction projects, drawing on experience from Africa.

Session 11 | Why Good Construction Claims Fail: Lessons from the People Who Decide Them
Veronique Buehrlen KC will contribute to a discussion considering why otherwise well-founded construction claims can fail and the lessons that can be drawn from those involved in determining disputes.
