We would like to start by congratulating Richard Coplin KC on his successful application for Silk. Richard was officially sworn in at Westminster Hall on 24th March 2025, accompanied by one of his clerks, Jade Clark, and members of his family.
Chambers started 2025 on a high note, taking home ‘English Bar in the Middle East: Construction Set of the Year’ at the Legal 500 Middle East and North Africa Awards in January. We were also delighted to congratulate Alexandra Bodnar for her well-deserved ‘Construction Junior of the Year’ award at the Chambers and Partners UK Bar Awards in November 2024. Finally, we had reason to celebrate further when one of Sarah Hannaford KC’s current cases was featured in this year’s Top 20 Cases list by The Lawyer.
2025 marks 70 years of the seminal text, Keating on Construction Contracts, now in its 12th edition. On 26th March 2025, Chambers marked the occasion with a full-day conference featuring numerous esteemed guests and members of chambers of varying seniority. The conference was a resounding success, exploring some of the cutting-edge topics in the construction industry in an engaging and insightful manner. We would like to thank the wonderful audience for participating in such insightful conversations with the panels and helping to bring the conference to life. Looking forward into the rest of 2025 we have a busy schedule of events and international trips planned, so keep an eye on chambers’ LinkedIn page and website for updates.
We hope you find this edition informative and engaging.
