Heathrow West Ltd (HWL), a subsidiary of the Arora Group, has today submitted its proposal for expansion of London Heathrow Airport in response to the Department for Transport’s request for proposals to expand Heathrow.
The Arora Group is a UK-based, innovative organisation specialising in hospitality and service delivery in and around Heathrow Airport. Founded in 1999 by Chairman Surinder Arora and headquartered at Heathrow, Arora employs over 2,800 people and owns and manages a diverse portfolio of flagship assets across the nation’s key business locations. Locally to Heathrow, this includes the Hilton Garden Inn London, Holiday Inn Express Heathrow T4 and Sofitel London Heathrow T5. Further afield, the Arora Group’s portfolio includes the Fairmont Windsor Park, InterContinental London – The O2, and Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa.
HWL’s submission sets out its vision for a Northwest Runway and world-class terminal at Heathrow. The aim is to support the airport’s expansion requirements while offering passengers and airlines real choice, greater efficiency, and improved service.
Lord Banner KC is acting for HWL, having represented the Arora Group and HWL in litigation in 2019-20 in the High Court and Court of Appeal concerning Heathrow expansion, and having helped secure them planning permission for Fairmont Windsor Park and defend a judicial review challenge to it.
