Courtney Burrell-Eade and Connie Trendle Join Keating Chambers

25 June 2025

We are pleased to announce that Courtney Burrell-Eade and Connie Trendle have both been made offers of tenancy following the successful completion of their pupillage. We look forward to working with them as our newest tenants and to welcoming our next cohort of pupils in September.

Courtney studied law at the University of Manchester, graduating with a First. Prior to starting pupillage, she spent two years working for the Shell Group in their global litigation team. During which time, Courtney was engaged in range of commercial matters from high value litigation and international arbitration to smaller contractual disputes across a range of jurisdictions. Courtney also spent a year working as a Judicial Assistant for Lady Justice Carr (now the Lady Chief Justice Carr) in the Court of Appeal. She now accepts instructions across all of Chambers’ core practice areas, including construction and engineering, adjudication, professional negligence and procurement. In her second sixth, Courtney developed a busy court-based practice, appearing as sole counsel in both the High Court (TCC) and the County Court.

Connie gained a 1st Class Law degree from Oxford University. During her time at University, she won several academic prizes. For her performance in Final Honour School examinations, she was awarded the Quadrant Prize for the best result in the International Trade module. In 2022, she placed first in the Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal 7 Kings Bench Walk Essay Competition. Her winning article was subsequently published on the OUULJ blog. In 2023, Connie also participated in the School Exclusion Project. Connie’s practice encompasses all of Keating Chambers’ core practice areas, including construction and engineering, infrastructure, energy, international arbitration, and procurement. Connie acts as both sole Counsel and as junior Counsel in larger commercial disputes.
