The Government has yesterday (22 October 2025) announced that it has shortlisted two proposals, out of the 7 received, for the expansion of London Heathrow Airport. The scheme promoted by the Arora Group / Heathrow West Limited and the scheme promoted by Heathrow Airport Ltd have been announced as the proposals that remain under active consideration. The Government’s announcement has also set out the process to be followed, and the further information that the two shortlisted schemes need to provide, prior to a final decision being announced by the end of November 2025.
